Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the club will be held at the Laughton Village Hall on Tuesday 14th January 2014 beginning at 7.30pm. Please try to be there, because this is your best opportunity to express your views on the way the club is run and other important issues.

AGENDA

1. To elect a chairman for the meeting

2. To accept apologies for absence

3. To read the minutes of the previous AGM

4. To hear officer’s reports: (a) Secretary; (b) Treasurer (c) Runs Leader (d) Time Trial Secretary (e) Track/Road Race Secretary (f) Press Secretary (g) Off-road Secretary (h) Social Secretary (i) Membership Secretary

5. To elect the Committees preferred candidate for presidency and vice presidents.

6. To vote on the proposal to remove the necessity to ‘pre-enter’ club time trials. If agreed, the committee will amend wording for rule 14 to reflect the decision.

7. To discuss methods for keeping in touch with club Members. Following the discussion, amendments to the rules will be agreed by the Committee to reflect any decisions made.

8. To vote on the Committee’s proposal to leave the Surrey League, to reflect the low take up of events and the need to provide significant resources to promote events.

9. To vote on an additional rule to award juniors and ladies awards where there are 3 or more entries in the event. Amendments to the rules will be agreed by the Committee to reflect any decisions made.
